WHAT’S NEXT

The first thing we will do is to meet up with you and your potential talent. We will go over everything that you will need to know and then we will have a little chat with your child. If we feel that we would be unable to represent your child, we will let you know straight away, and we can talk about the things that you may be able to work on for the future, so you can try again with us in a few months time. Not all children have the nature that makes them able to work as talent. Some kids excel in other different areas, and we will not push a child if we don’t think they are ready, or if we feel that it will not be beneficial for them. 

 If we do feel that your child is a great fit for us, we will offer you REPRESENTATION and then we can talk through the contract with you, and explain what it all entails. 

Please know that the nature of the business can be difficult to understand. You can never know what a casting director will be looking for with talent, and it honestly has nothing to do with the magnificence of your child. 

EVERY child is unique and has their own wonderful qualities, but they may not be the right fit for job they are going for. And no one can predict what that may be.

REPRESENTATION

It’s easy! We will offer children that we feel can work in the industry a position with in our Agency. We will represent your child (known as The Talent) for a 12 month period. You can then re-sign with us if you are happy with your year with Sky Management.

Our commitment to you is to find work for your superstars! We will teach you everything we know about the industry and how to get the most fun and benefit out of it. It can be so much fun, and very rewarding if looked at in a positive and meaningful manner.

We will also provide all the support, encouragement and communication that is needed to be successful in the industry.

Your commitment is to learn as much as you can about the industry, and most important, to keep your casting profiles up to date and current (we will teach and help you along the way.)

First things first … Fees and costs. There will be no joining fee, but your child will require professional photos that will be displayed on our website and shared with our clients. The photos are your gateway to future jobs and employment in the industry.

To keep our ‘look’ to a consistency we ask that you have your photos done with us in our studio. Photos MUST be of a Professional quality and style as the CLIENT will wish to see how a child handles a professional shoot. We will guide you with clothing and styling for your shoot with us. Our ‘style’ is a look that is natural and real.

Our Photo Package is $270 and includes styling, the shoot, all shots taken on the day, and help with the set up of these photos into the Casting platforms. Our Photographer can help you with selection of the best photos to use. This fee will also include a startup workshop and information session.

The Casting Platforms we will recommend you to join are Casting Networks and Showcast and can cost approximately $100 - $300 per year. You can join one of these, or we recommend that you join both.

GOOD TO KNOW….

When you join with Sky, we become your exclusive AGENT. This means that we have access to all the jobs that are available for your child to try out for.

Becoming a SKY managed kid means that you will get all the backing and training you and your child will need to be a success in the industry.

It can be a crazy business. Castings or show reel requests can be very last minute, and some may require a bit of travel time to get to. Be prepared for some crazy, but fun times and know that we will always have your back and will help you in every way we can.

It can all be a bit daunting to start, but we will ease you through it all till you become a pro.

The other thing to know is that we don’t have any say in who will be successful at a casting. We will submit all those that fit the brief, but there may be a small ‘must have’ that the Client is looking…a missing tooth, or a freckle in just the right spot, we can never know.

And most importantly, a successful kid is one who is happy, confident, feels good about themselves and is respectful and thankful, so our coaching will be all about this, and that is such a valuable life lesson for any child!
